During the lockdown, my mom and I have been making face masks and receiving some from friends. Now that masks are not in as high demand as they once were, many are stocking up on masks so that they don't have to constantly wash each mask after every trip outside.
Some masks have a built-in space for a carbon air filter. My mom purchased a large sheet of this material to cut into smaller pieces for the masks; this filter adds an extra layer of protection. A great way to test out a mask is by seeing if you can blow a candle out while wearing the mask. With the added filter, you shouldn't be able to.
Now, whenever needed, we have many different masks with many different patterns. We have floral, polka dot, smiley faces, solid colors, peacock feathers, and more. Being able to pick out masks with fun patterns can add a bit of enjoyment to the current situation.
